Our robotic emissaries in space beam back treasure troves of data as they explore the furthest reaches of the Solar System. Soon, astronauts may also embark on missions to distant worlds, aided by our understanding of the planets and their environments in space. As a participant in this endeavor, I am a co-investigator on several ongoing and upcoming NASA missions. I am also active in the areas of instrument development and mission formulation.
